Honestly, this was a vent post and to contribute my grain of sand to continue supporting this saga. If you have read Memorias de Idhún I have no doubt that you will see the series despite everything they say. But if you haven't read it, I hope you give it a try anyway, if when you see the series the basic plot catches your attention, I assure you that you will not regret reading the books (or comics).
Tonight, I killed the Queen of the Starlight Faeries… my grandmother.
I am Zeneviève, the Starlight Princess, and with one glance you’d think nothing else of me, yet there’s another side that no one knows. From the age of five I’ve secretly trained in the dark arts, foreseeing that one day I would be summoned by the God of the Realms.
So, when a burning rose appears on my pillow, I know I’ve been chosen.
Accepting my new purpose means losing the only family I’ve ever known, earning a one-way ticket to Darkling Penitentiary. Nevertheless, my mission is bigger than all of us. But there is one obstacle I didn’t anticipate, the monster who rules the prison, and in order to fulfill my destiny I’ll have to eliminate him.
The issue? He appears to be the only creature immune to my deadly light.
Hunter Astley has always known that he is different: being a witch-hunter that can use magic has sealed his fate. He must destroy the Shadow Witch once and for all, with the help of some unlikely allies.
We delve even deeper into the world of the Malleus Maleficarum; into myth, rumour and history that refuses to stay in the past.
The second part of the Witch-Hunter series.
The world has been thrown into darkness by the Shadow Witch's revolution. The witch-hunters are scattered, but still strong. The race is now on to gather allies and win the war.
New enemies will arise; loyalties will be pushed to the limit. And an important question will be answered: can a witch-hunter that practices magic ever be trusted, or will he be persecuted?
It is said that 'love conquers all', but this twisted love must stay secret, locked away with the past.
In the contest to keep their magic, the only options may be die... or kill.
Each year, the North American Confederation of Mages assesses every sixteen-year-old novice. Some will be chosen. The rest must undergo a procedure to destroy their magical ability unless they prove themselves in the mysterious and brutal Mages' Exam.
Disadvantaged by her parents' low standing, Rocío Lopez has dedicated herself to expanding her considerable talent to earn a place in the Confederation. Their rejection leaves her reeling—and determined to fight to keep her magic.
Long ashamed of his mediocre abilities, Finn Lockwood knows the Confederation accepted him only because of his prominent family. Declaring for the Exam instead means a chance to confirm his true worth.
Thrown into the testing with little preparation, Rocío and Finn find themselves becoming unlikely allies—and possibly more. But the Exam holds secrets more horrifying than either could have imagined. What are the examiners really testing them for? And as the trials become increasingly vicious, how much are they willing to sacrifice to win?
The gods walk among us. And they just might steal your soul... or your heart.
I thought I'd survived everything life could throw at me. All I wanted was to keep my distance from the criminals I work for and get my little brother out of the hell that is our mother's house.
Then I died and woke up to four stunningly hot gods telling me I'm now a valkyrie.
Sly, sharp Loki. Jovial but ferocious Thor. Dreamily compassionate Baldur. Grim and secretive Hod. They all have something to teach me. And around them, my walls start to crack.
But the gods didn't summon me just for kicks. Their king is missing, and they need me to find him. The first three valkyries they sent on the job never made it back.
More power is awakening in me than I could ever have imagined—and the gods' enemies are more devious than even they knew. It's going to take every trick in the book for me to save myself, my brother, and these divine men who're getting under my skin in the most alluring way.
I'm Aria Watson, and Valhalla ain't seen nothing yet.
